Dr. Christie Kwon is the executive director for the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation and her goal is to get more chiropractors engaged in research. This year, she'll be presenting at our Mile High event. During the course of this podcast, she provided an update on some of the research activity that the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation (FVS) is currently involved in. Chiropractors have to connect with why research is important and how that translates to practice and certainty and better serving practice members. In this interview, we discussed:
1 - The importance of research and a clear focused research agenda related to subluxation-based chiropractic.
2 - The Foundations Practice Guidelines project.
3 - Other additional research activities that the FVS is working on.
The mission of the Foundation is to advocate for and advance the founding principles and tenets of the chiropractic profession in the area of vertebral subluxation through research, education, policy and service. A sick and suffering humanity needs us and we need you to join us on this mission.
The foundation has accomplished a significant amount since it's founding in 2010. You can find out more about the foundation on their website www.vertebralsubluxation.org. There is a significant body of research evidence supporting chiropractic care. However, while that may be the case, that needs to continue to grow on a daily basis. The research agenda for the profession has to expand, and the FVS is a vital part of that. Mile High is very grateful for the work that the foundation does and will be continuing to do and this is why we're promoting and supporting them this year.
