It was no surprise when the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) published and pushed its flawed document stating there was no credible evidence regarding the clinical role of chiropractic on immune function.
Neither was there any mystery when several state boards such as Texas and Wisconsin endorsed the document and used it to threaten its licensees since many, if not most, of the regulatory boards in the United States are controlled by Subluxation Deniers and many of the chiropractors who sit on state boards are members of the ACA.
But chiropractors were shocked and disappointed when the trade organizations in the UK purportedly representing the subluxation, vitalistic, salutogenic faction of the profession decided to join the WFC and other anti-subluxation organizations in muzzling chiropractors from engaging in discussions of the role of chiropractic, the nervous system, immunity and COVID.
The group, made up of the following organizations:
The statement was essentially an endorsement for the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and its threats against chiropractors for expressing free speech. The GCC is the licensing and regulatory board in the UK and has a long, sordid history of attacking and targeting chiropractors who practice in a subluxation, vitalistic model.
Of course there is plenty of evidence showing that chiropractic normalizes, enhances, modulates and influences the immune system. In fact, this whole issue has painted the pain based, musculoskeletal only faction of the profession into a corner since the only way chiropractic can help those in pain is through the immune system.
According to sources who said they were afraid to speak out due to fear of retribution, the only reason these "straight" groups signed the ridiculous document was due to duress and a perceived threat of future actions against them if they went against the Chiropractic Cartel in the UK.
The ramification of the failure by the vitalistic faction to refuse to sign such gibberish and stand up to the attack on free speech and the imposition of compelled speech is now rearing its ugly head.
