Australian Chiropractor Keith Charlton Attacks Sherman & New Zealand Chiropractic Colleges
Following on the heals of calling chiropractors who focus their practice on the analysis and correction of vertebral subluxation "unacceptable creatures", "trash" and that in 2017 we "need to get rid of the quacks that do us so much harm" the self-proclaimed chiropractic researcher Keith H Charlton DC, MPhil, MPainMed, PhD, FICC has now set his sights on attacking Sherman and New Zealand Chiropractic Colleges.
Charlton, who states on his resume that he is a "Certified Practising Member … a senior accolade" of the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia (COCA) was responding to widespread criticism on social media regarding his hate speech and statements during testimony against subluxation chiropractors.
Charlton claims to have attended a lecture along with his son over a decade ago in Melbourne Australia by famed chiropractor Reggie Gold DC. Referring to Dr. Gold as "sainted" Charleton bragged that he stood up in the room and confronted Dr. Gold by telling the crowd " . . . he may very well be incapable of any useful clinical act." Charleton referred to the 400 attendees as "victims". He went on to relate that his son was lamenting his own decision to become a chiropractor because of the "biodrivel" he was hearing from chiropractors in Melbourne.
Charlton stated that:
"It's still happening, but since then, there has been a window dressing of the tripe as 'science" and then attacked Sherman, New Zealand and the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) by stating:
"Too many US institutions are letting too many patently unintelligent people get into chiro programs and emerge charged with uncritical chants (we have one in the South Pacific, too, paid for partly by the ICA colleges.... think of the spurts from Spurt'nburg as Sherman Fullfat and from NZCC as Sherman Lite).
Charlton then claimed that his recent comments had ". . . served the purpose of drawing into sharp focus those who agree with me and a (remarkably) few who don't." He finished his tirade by stating: "I once did an experiment at a Brisbane barbecue, saying that research had shown half of the population of Queensland to be of below average intelligence. I was nearly lynched."
