Stephen Perle Attacks Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation
New York State Chiropractic Association Publishes Article Denigrating Subluxation Based Chiropractors
The New York State Chiropractic Association (NYSCA) recently published a disparaging article written by self appointed chiropractic ethicist Stephen Perle. Perle is a faculty member at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and well known for his attacks on subluxation based chiropractic and those who practice it.
The article titled: Foundation for Anachronistic Chiropractic Pseudo-Religion was published in the July issue of the New York State Chiropractic Association's Newsletter.
In the article Perle descries DD and BJ Palmer's theories as "Dogma" that have no place in modern chiropractic and he equates chiropractic philosophy to pseudo-religion.
NYSCA is currently in merger talks with the New York Chiropractic Council (NYCC) and subluxation based chiropractors have been assured that such a merger would not have a negative effect in New York and that those practicing subluxation based chiropractic would not be put in jeopardy.
Perhaps NYSCA's publishing of an article by one of the most outspoken and well known subluxation deniers in the profession speaks much louder than all the assurances that have thus far been made.
