According to the March 18, 2021 minutes of the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Bill Moreau, DC, DACBSP, FACSM "Chief Medical Officer" at the University of Western States stated that Western States would "encourage and support" whatever is necessary for chiropractors to inject the experimental vaccines.

During the Oregon Board meeting Moreau offered Western states assistance stating:

"Dr. Moreau discussed the possibility of extra training required to assimilate the information as the skill is certainly in the knowledge base. UWS would like to encourage and support whatever is necessary for chiropractors to participate."

The Oregon Board stated in the minutes that chiropractors in Oregon can already volunteer to be vaccinators with SERV-OR - the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers in Oregon.

Western States joins Northwestern University of Health Sciences Chiropractic Program where Michele Maiers DC, MPH, Ph.D a Member of the President's Cabinet at Northwestern and Executive Director of Research & Innovation there, begged the federal government to add chiropractors to the list of eligible providers so they can inject the COVID vaccine.

Maiers serves as the current President of the American Chiropractic Association and as ACA President is lobbying the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and "urging" them to allow doctors of chiropractic to administer COVID-19 vaccines according to the The 2021 Q1 Lobbying Report filed by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA).

Western States and Northwestern chiropractic programs join the Canadian Chiropractic Association and chiropractic organizations in the United Kingdom advocating and participating in the injection of COVID vaccines into their populations. The rest of the Western States Leadership includes several chiropractors:

  • Kathleen Galligan, DC - Dean, College of Chiropractic
  • Sara Mathov, DC, MS - Vice President for Innovation and Strategic Initiatives
  • Rachael Pandzik, DC, MS - Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness

Likewise the University's Board of Trustees includes several chiropractors:

  • Jennifer Forbes, DC
  • Robert Jones, DC, APC
  • Joyce McClure, DC
  • Elli Morton, DC
  • Michael Pettet, DC, CCSP
  • Ron Rogers, DC

Jennifer Forbes DC was recently in the chiropractic news. Forbes serves as the Vice Chair of Western States Chiropractic College Board of Trustees according to her Linked In profile and she also serves on the Board of the College of Chiropractors of British Columbia (CCBC). Such a conflict might have gone unnoticed had she not thrown herself into the briar patch by voting to ban the use of x-rays for the management of vertebral subluxation in her role on the CCBC. In fact, three of the four chiropractors serving on the CCBC who voted for the ban are Western States graduates. The fourth is a graduate of Canadian Memorial.

Robert Jones DC, APC is also on the Board of Governors of the American Chiropractic Association and was one of the chiropractors that initiated the Advanced Practice Certification in New Mexico where he now holds the APC license. The APC license allowed chiropractors who hold it in New Mexico to prescribe drugs.

Horace Elliot also serves on the UWS Board of Trustees - Elliot is the immediate past executive vice president of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE). While serving the NBCE, Elliott received an Honorary Doctor of humanities from Texas Chiropractic College; and a Doctor of Humane Letters from the American College of Chiropractors (FACC); and named a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors (FICC). He received the George Arvidson Award from the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards for service to chiropractic regulation, and he received an Honorary Doctorate from Hanseo University College of Chiropractic in Korea and was named the Dynamic Chiropractic’s 2013 Person of the Year.
