Embracing Excellence: TOPCHIRO Endorses the International Agency for Chiropractic Evaluation (IACE)

Strengthening the Future of Vertebral Subluxation-Centered Chiropractic

In a significant move to uphold the integrity and focus of chiropractic education, TOPCHIRO has formally endorsed the International Agency for Chiropractic Evaluation (IACE). This endorsement, passed on July 1, 2024, highlights the commitment of TOPCHIRO to promote high standards in the analysis and adjustment of vertebral subluxation (VS), a core principle established by D.D. Palmer, the founder of chiropractic.

The Importance of IACE Recognition

The IACE, a non-profit organization established in 2001, has been a steadfast authority on vertebral subluxation-centered chiropractic education for over two decades. This agency is dedicated to guiding educational programs towards achieving excellence in the precise and safe analysis and adjustment of VS. IACE’s certification and accreditation processes ensure that chiropractic programs operate with integrity and adhere to rigorous academic standards, thereby enhancing the quality of education related to vertebral subluxation-centered practice.

Historical Context: The Chiropractic Cartel and Its Impact

To understand the significance of IACE's role, it is essential to delve into the historical challenges faced by the chiropractic profession. Over the years, a coalition of educational, testing, and regulatory bodies, often referred to as the "chiropractic cartel," has influenced the direction of chiropractic practice. This coalition has effectively restricted chiropractic training to a primary care model, significantly limiting the focus on vertebral subluxation.

The long-term success of this Cartel in steering chiropractic practice towards a medical model has had profound implications. It has resulted in decreasing enrollments in chiropractic colleges, escalating debt levels for new graduates, diminishing market share for chiropractic services, and declining average earnings for practitioners. This unsustainable trajectory threatens the very essence of the chiropractic profession.

The Role of IACE in Shaping the Future

In response to these challenges, the endorsement of IACE by TOPCHIRO is a critical step towards revitalizing the focus on vertebral subluxation-centered chiropractic. IACE’s pathway for chiropractic programs to improve quality and obtain certification or accreditation is aligned with TOPCHIRO's mission. By supporting initiatives that emphasize the identification, characterization, and adjustment of VS, IACE ensures that educational programs maintain high standards of academic excellence.

Conclusion   The endorsement of the International Agency for Chiropractic Evaluation by TOPCHIRO marks another pivotal moment for the chiropractic profession. It underscores the importance of preserving the core principles established by D.D. Palmer and enhancing the quality of education related to vertebral subluxation-centered practice. As the profession navigates the challenges posed by the historical influence of the chiropractic cartel, IACE stands as a beacon of integrity and excellence, guiding the way towards a brighter future for chiropractic education and practice.
