Nicchi Retires As NYCC President
New York Chiropractic College announced that President Frank J. Nicchi, DC, MS will retire on August 31, 2017 after 36 years of service to New York Chiropractic College, with the last 17 as president. Nicchi is a staunch supporter of scope expansion within chiropractic in general and in New York State especially.
Under Nicchi the College developed and administered a survey to explore attitudes towards drugs & scope expansion which was heavily promoted by the First Chiropractic Physicians Association of America (FCPAA), the New York State Chiropractic Association and New York Chiropractic College. The survey sought chiropractor's opinions regarding a number of issues related to merger, prescriptive drug rights and scope expansion.
Nicchi served within the so called Chiropractic Cartel for many years including serving as president of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC), a corporation made up of all the Presidents of chiropractic educational programs in North America, and as a board member of the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care (ACCAHC).
According to the press release, the Succession Committee of the Board of Trustees has been actively involved in the process of identifying a new president to succeed Dr. Nicchi. As soon as a selection has been made and approved by the Board of Trustees, an announcement will be made.
