AECC Researcher Dave Newell Says Taking X-rays for Subluxation "Has No Basis in Reality"
David Newell, who is the Director of Institutional Research at Anglo European College of Chiropractic, former Director of Institutional Research at McTimoney College of Chiropractic and former Director of Institutional Research at Macquarie University has once again attacked the practice of vertebral subluxation care.
This time his focus is on the necessity of radiography in chiropractic.

Commenting on the release of the best practices document Newll stated:
"Taking X rays to find subluxations has no basis in reality whatsoever. Encouraging such behaviour appears to be the last bastion of a type of chiropractic that is mercifully dying. I.e. one without any commitment to an evidence informed approach and furthermore that again puts this small part of the profession in direct conflict with the expectations society has of a modern health care profession. If it wasn't so regressive, transparently financially self serving and with that damaging to the professions reputation, it would be laughable."
Newell, who represents a small fringe group of subluxation deniers, has stated such nonsense as: "there is zero evidence for subluxation" and that it is "detrimental to our standing as a profession."
Of course, as is typically the case with Newell and other subluxation deniers, Newell does not actually criticize anything cited in the paper. Instead he engages in a series of logical fallacies that should be an embarrassment to those who employ him as an "Institutional Researcher".
This he does while the guidelines he supports are based on opinion and politics.
