MCQI Declines CCE Invite
Says CCE is Disregarding Large Segment of Profession
The Movement for Chiropractic Quality and Intergity (MCQI) has declined an invitation from the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) to participate in an invitation only Forum being held on April 27, 2013 in Phoenix.
MCQI's repsonse to the invitation from CCE reads in part:
The Movement for Chiropractic Quality and Integrity wishes to acknowledge the receipt of our invitation to the CCE Forum on April 27, 2013, but respectfully declines the invitation. It is clear to us that the CCE is merely following the recommendations of its USDE consultant and dotting the I's and crossing the T's in order to get re-recognition by the U.S. Secretary of Education while continuing to have complete disregard for the concerns and input provided by a large segment of the chiropractic profession. We will not continue to be a part of a onesided conversation that has no meaningful intentions or solution-based dialogue. To date we have been active participants in all CCE sponsored “Stakeholders” meetings and have been present at CCE semi-annual meetings with no change in the status quo. Apparently the concerns of a great percentage of the profession are not sufficient to warrant the sincere attention and action of the CCE.

MCQI began as a grass roots movement of chiropractors and other stakeholders who are concerned about the direction of chiropractic education and the monopoly control that the Council on Chiropractic Education has over the educational system within chiropractic.
